About the Role
We are looking for a Fitness Manager who will be responsible for leading and maintaining and managing the day-to-day strategies and operations of our client’s facilities. The ideal candidate would work in the best interest of their customers and business. The primary responsibilities would be to manage a team of 5+ Full-Time personal trainers and 25+ class instructors. You will also plan employee schedules, create ideas and actions for revenue growth, navigate crisis management, and in some cases provide gym tours for potential clients.
Ensuring the safety of all clients by providing proper training for all instructors and staff members
Training employees to provide safe and effective instruction to clients on all types of equipment
Scheduling and organizing classes, instructors, and facilities to maximize attendance and efficiently use staff time
Maintaining a clean, safe environment at all times through cleaning and repairing equipment, scheduling repairs, and communicating with staff members about needed fixes
Providing ongoing customer service to members by responding to questions about memberships or other issues related to their accounts
Scheduling new member orientation, including paperwork, facility tours, and induction into the club’s culture and routines
Monitoring the progress of members by providing feedback on workouts and techniques, making adjustments to routines as needed, and offering encouragement when appropriate
Conducting interviews and hiring new staff members who meet the club’s criteria for experience and skill level
Ensuring that members are given accurate information about rates, policies, and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field
Previous experience as a Fitness Manager or working in a gym or fitness center is preferred
Experience working as a personal trainer is a plus.
Experience in coaching, training, and/or facility management is preferred.
Certification in any physical training is a plus
Skilled in verbal and written communication.
Strong organizational skills and critical thinking skills.
Must have problem-solving and conflict resolutions skills
